Hosted by Diane von Furstenberg, 2024's agenda offered speed mentoring, shopping for a cause, and women-led panel discussions that covered topics such as AI, health, inclusion, and identity.
Speakers included Gabby Bernstein, #1 New York Times bestselling author; Whitney Wolfe Herd, Founder and Executive Chair of Bumble; Abby Phillip, CNN NewsNight Anchor; Yasmin Green, CEO of Jigsaw, and other inspiring women. Friday afternoon's program concluded with a performance by the choir Sing Harlem.
After The Panels
Attendees were then invited for cocktails, bites, music, and shopping for a cause in the DVF gallery. Special accessories were created in collaboration with change-making brands, SEQUENCE and MADE51, and DVF was 20% off in-store, with 10% of proceeds donated to Vital Voices.
Next Day
On the morning of Saturday, March 2nd, celebrations continued with The Vital Voices New York Mentoring Walk on the High Line. During the walk, mentors offered advice to mentees, sharing lessons they’ve learned in leadership. Attendees were then invited back to DVF’s Flagship, where breakfast and a panel discussion hosted by Vital Voices, ended the weekend's agenda.
A limited-edition DVF IWD 2024 hoodie and t-shirt were made by Diane and the design team, who were inspired by the wrap dress 50th Anniversary crossword print. These crossword designs call out the InCharge mantra: Connect, Expand, Inspire, and Advocate.
